Welford Engineering provided a full array of civil engineering services for this 398 unit, multifamily residential development on a former rail yard, including conceptual planning, rezoning assistance with technical support for proffer negotiations, final design, permitting, survey stakeout, and construction phase services. Welford Engineering also provided structural engineering services to rehabilitate a 50-year old truss bridge that provides additional access to the community. Our team of structural engineers analyzed the existing superstructure to determine its available live load capacity, prepared construction plans to replace the concrete deck and rehabilitate the superstructure and bridge abutments, regraded the bridge approaches, updated safety features, and ultimately returned the bridge to service.
